George A Lind, 66 of Kearny, NJ passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer on February 6, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones.
George is survived by his beloved wife Michele (nee Paone), his daughters Samantha and Amanda, and grandchildren Joseph and Vincent Gilberti.
George grew up in Harrison, NJ with his parents, who predeceased him, James and Lorraine (nee Dillon) as well as with his brothers Robert and Jimmy, and sister Karen. George lived most of his adult life in East Newark before moving to Kearny in 2004. Before his retirement, he worked for 30 years at Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission.
George’s greatest joys in life were spending time with his family and time spent in his backyard on his deck or down the shore at his in-laws’ summer home. His sense of humor and infectious laugh will be forever cherished by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visiting will be on Thursday, February 13th from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 14th at 10:30 am at Armitage Wiggins with interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
