Joseph Warren Alexander

Joseph Warren Alexander, born on April 12, 1952, passed away on March 4, 2025.  He was a long-time resident of Kearny NJ.

Visiting will be Saturday from 12:00 to 4:00 pm at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr., Kearny. Cremation will be private.

Joe was raised in Emerson NJ and attended Emerson Jr.-Sr. High School.  He stayed in the small town for decades and was known to always lend a helping hand to his neighbors.  From the age of 17, he dedicated his career to the automotive industry, and also worked as a real estate agent later in life.  His passion for vehicles extended beyond work—he had a love for fast motorcycles and was especially fond of his bright orange Slingshot.

Music was another great love in Joe's life.  As a talented singer and musician from the age of 16, he played drums and guitar in his band.  A man of strong convictions, he liked discussing politics and was an avid supporter of his beloved Trump.

Joe had a deep love for animals and was a steadfast supporter of first responders and veterans.  He cherished time spent with family and friends, whether sharing meals, telling stories, or enjoying trips to the beach and casinos.  Joe also sponsored his wife's bowling team "Joey's Angels" and shared many laughs at the lanes.  Known for his kindness and generosity, he was always ready to help those in need.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Catherine Alexander.  Joe is survived by his wife Palmira “Pam” Fernandes-Alexander, daughter Melissa Hagberg and son-in-law Lawrence, stepdaughter Andrea Lopez and son-in-law Alvin, and grandson Adriel Lopez.

Joe will be remembered for the joy he brought to those around him and the lasting impact of his generosity.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society (cancer.org) or Tunnel to Towers (t2t.org).
