Martin Schreck

Martin Schreck, Jr.,  passed away at home on November 21, 2015. He was 87. Born in Harrison he lived most of his life in Kearny.  Visiting at The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Monday November 23, 2015 from 5 until 9 p.m. Service Tuesday 10 a.m. in the funeral home and burial at Arlington Cemetery will follow.

Mr. Schreck served in The United States Marine Corps at the end of World War Two. He was a retired assembler having worked many years atWilckata Folding Box company in Kearny. He was vice president of The Kearny Amateur Radio Club and was a Radio Officer of the Civil Defense System. He was a member of The Robert E. Lee Civil War Round Table in Woodbridge. He had been a Leader for the Pioneer Boys of America in Kearny and a Scout Master for Harrison Troop 7. He was also a member of The House of Burgesses in Colonial Willamsburg.

Martin is the husband of the late Joan (Fitzgerald) and is survived by his children and their spouses; Marian and John D'Alessandro, Susan and Jim Lautenbacher and Martin, III. and Joy Schreck  Also surviving are eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
