Madeline M. Foster, born February 12, 1918 in Johnston, R.I., passed peacfully on Sunday February 10, 2013 at Jersey Shore Medical Center. Visiting will be on Friday from 3-7 pm at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Dr Kearny. Mass will be on saturday at 11 am in St. Cecilias Church. Madeline was the beloved wife of the late Charles J. Foster, Sr. She resided in Kearny since 1945 and was a member of the Rosary Society, Choir, Seniors and Bingo all at St. Cecilias. She was also active at The Henrietta Benstead Friendship Club Evening Group.
Madeline had worked at Hudson Lamp in Kearny, Will Way in No. Arlington and Graphic Management in Kearny and Mountainside before retiring at age 81.
Mother of Kenneth L. Foster (Ethel), Jo-Ann (Foster) Dolan (Charles) and Charles J. Foster, Jr. (Missy). Grandmother of Theresa (Foster) Caldwell, Margaret (Foster) Kielty, Catherine (Foster) Acomb, Deborah (Foster) McDowell, Daniel Dolan, Mary Jo (Dolan) McDermott, Bernadette (Dolan) Jerry, Christine (Foster) Andrews and Suzanne (Foster) Sanda. Also surviving are twenty great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
