Richard A. Gelcius, Sr. 77, of Kearny died on 2/22/14 at home.
Visiting will be at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be officiated on Wednesday at 10am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Kearny. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Gelcius was in Shipping & Receiving with Chrysler Corporation, Tappan, N.Y. for 42 years retiring in 2008. He served in The United States Army Reserve and was a member of UAW Local 3039, Tappan, N.Y.
He is the beloved husband of 50 years of Lucille Pankiewicz Gelcius. Father of Johanna Gelcius and the late Richard Gelcius, Jr. Brother of Marianne Cassidy, Barbara Rokas and Theresa Bilaitis.
Grandfather of Sabastian Shaw and James Gelcius.
