Vivian Montalbano (nee Guida) died peacefully at home on September 12, 2014. She was 94. Born in Jersey City, on August 21, 1920, she lived many years in Kearny before moving to Centerbridge II Senior Housing in Bridgewater to be near her daughter two years ago. Visiting will be on Monday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Armitage and Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephens Church and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Vivian worked at St. Johnsbury Trucking as a telephone operator for 12 years. While in Kearny she belonged to The Friendship Club of The Henrietta Benstead Senior Citizens Club and The St. Stephens Womans Club. Vivian was a kind, warm, loving person who always had a smile on her face. She never missed a chance to send birthday cards to everyone she knew and was a wealth of knowledge on current affairs. She read the newspaper from front to back every day and you could always count on receiving an article in the mail if she thought it pertained to you.
Wife of the late Michael J, who died in 1994, she is survived by her children and their spouses Michael A. and Joyce Montalbano and Roseann and Fred Boehm. Sister of Daniel Guida, she is also survived by her grandchildren Freddy and (Tiffany) Boehm, Christopher Boehm and (Shawn Danitz), Amanda and (Jozef) Rusinak and her three great grandchildren Dylan, Sienna and Joey. These children brought so much joy to her life.
