Robert J. Rawding died 4/20/15. He was 90. Born in Newark he lived most of his life in North Arlington. Visiting at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Masonic service at 7:30 p.m. His funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. and private cremation will follow. www.armitagewiggins.com
Bob was a Professional Mechanical Engineer for both Delta and Hallam Engineering. He was a very involved mason having been Past Master of North Arlington Lodge #271, Past Grand Chaplain and currently is a member of Adoniram F. and A.M. Lodge #80.He also had a strong passion for gardening.
Beloved husband for 60 years to Janette (nee MacDonald), he is also survived by his children and their spouses; Ernest and Lucille Rawding, Glen and Kathleen Rawding and Sharon and John Vernacchia, his grandchildren Ryan (Tricia), Sean, Alexandra and Piper and his great grandchildren Declan and Lochlan. He was predeceased by his brother Emerson and sister Jean Nicols.
