Minnie Heffern, 94 of Lyndhurst passed away on October 6, 2018.
A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Wednesday at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation is on Wednesday morning from 10 AM to 12 noon at the funeral home.
Born in Harrison, Minnie was a longtime Kearny resident before moving to Lyndhurst. She worked as a secretary for Congoleum-Narain in Kearny for many years before retiring. An avid walker, Minnie could always be seen walking to or from Shop-Rite, work, or anyplace she needed to be.
Minnie was the loving mother of Barbara Moraski and her husband Frank, Lois Fikslin and her husband Gary, and Robert Heffern and his wife Eileen; dear grandmother of William Engels and his wife Heather, Timothy Engels and his wife Brenda, Stephanie Garcia and her husband Royd, Melanie Palen and her husband Randy, and Kaitlyn Heffern. She was also the proud great-grandmother of nine.
