Carlos S. Fidalgo, 63 of Kearny passed away at home on November 5, 2019.
Family and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Carlos at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home on Tuesday at 9 AM. Interment will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Born in Portugal, Carlos moved to Newark in 1971, and finally settled in Kearny with his family in 1987. He very much enjoyed his work as a commercial fisherman for over 30 years. Later, he went to work in construction for ILA Local 472 for ten years before retiring. An avid soccer fan, Carlos enjoyed both watching the sport, and teaching his kids so they could play it together. He was also a talented chef.
Carlos was the beloved husband of Rosa S. (nee Salvador) Fidalgo; loving father of Carlos S. Fidalgo, Jason S. Fidalgo and Marco S. Fidalgo; dear grandfather of Isabella Rose Fidalgo and Mason Anthony Fidalgo, cherished brother of Helena Dias and Rosa Fidalgo. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
