Edward George O’Neill, 48 of Altamonte Springs, FL passed away on November 5, 2019.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny on Tuesday November 12 at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 201-991-0657.
Born in Belleville, Edward was a longtime Kearny resident before moving to Altamonte Springs ten years ago. After proudly serving his country in the US Navy, he served as a police officer with the Newark Police Department for many years before retiring. Edward especially enjoyed learning about military history, and participating in historical reenactments.
Edward was the dear son of Mary (nee Agnew) O’Neill, and the late Edward Patrick O’Neill. He was the cherished brother of Jane Christine O’Neill; and nephew of George Agnew, Marty and Joan O’Neill, Bobby and Ann Dynes, Virginia O’Neill and Frances O’Neill. He is also survived by his dear friends Troy, Rocco, Adam and Luke, and by many other loving friends and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
