Gabriel J. Scudese, 74 of Orlando, FL, formerly of Jersey City passed away on December 11, 2019.
Funeral is from the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday at 10 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen's Church in Kearny at 11AM. Interment will follow at Holy Name Cemetery. Visitation is on Sunday from 2-6 PM at the funeral home.
Gabriel was a lifelong resident of Jersey City and Hoboken until moving to Orlando, FL two years ago. He operated is own wholesale car buying business for many years. Gabe was a St. Peter’s Prep graduate and attended Dayton University and finished his Math degree at Jersey City State College, where he also taught in the G.E.D. program. Mr. Scudese enjoyed watching sports, and going out to dinner with family and friends. A world traveler, Gabriel also loved music, especially singing karaoke.
Gabriel is survived by his beloved longtime companion Mary Daley; his children Gabriel A. Scudese and Nicole D. Davis. He was the dear grandfather of Kaylee, Brendan, Olivia and Gabriel, and is also survived by his sisters Annette and Frances Scudese.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center.
