Purificacao Figueira, 85 of Harrison passed away on December 11, 2019.
Funeral is from the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Saturday at 9 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Church in Harrison at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation is on Friday from 3-7 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Sarnadas Simao Portugal, Purificacao lived in Newark and later Harrison since 1980.
Purificacao was the loving mother of Teresa Santos (Rafael), Grace Ramos (John), Luke Luciano (Sally), Dina Cunha and Paul Figueira (Diane); dear sister of Maria DaLuz, Joao Dias, Jose Dias, and the late Jose Dias and Maria De Jesus. She was the cherished grandmother of 11, and great-grandmother of three.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
