Marianne S. Kernan passed away at home on December 20, 2019. She was 71. Born in Newark she was a lifelong Harrison resident. Visiting will be at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Friday December 27, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Cross Church in Harrison and burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
Marianne was a special education teacher in Kearny. She also worked part time for Drs. Harold and Marc Wiener for fifty years. During her career she published many training articles for visual difficulties. She loved bowling and her EMD Womans club membership. She was a member of The Holy Cross Rosary Society and Choir. Wife of the late Jay, she was the mother of James J. Kernan and sister of Regina Conlon (her twin) and the late Joseph Snodgrass. Also surviving is her grandson Ryan along with many niece, nephews and Godchildren.
