Raul Alfaro passed away peacefully at home on January 24, 2020. He was 82. Born in Cuba, he lived in Newark before moving to Kearny 42 years ago. Visiting will be on Sunday January 26, 2020 from 3 until 7 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Mass Monday at 11:15 a.m. in St. Stephens Church and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Raul was a retired Long Shoreman Crane Operator. He and his wife Betty loved to travel and socialize at the Arlington Players Club in Kearny where their daughter Evelyn has been a long time tennis member. He also took great pleasure in gardening and baseball. Beloved husband of Bertila "Betty" he was the devoted father of Evelyn Alfaro, brother of Ibis, Luis and the late Zenaida he is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and their families. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
