 Mary A. Dunsmuir

Mary A. Dunsmuir (Nee Bannon), age 83, of Harrison entered into eternal rest on October 17, 2020. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation at the Wilfred Armitage - Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny on Thursday October 22nd at 3pm-7pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday October 22nd at 10 am in the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Rest Land Memorial Park in East Hanover.

       Mary was born on September 7, 1937 in Newark, NJ to the late Catherine Bannon and Francis Corbitt. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alexander Dunsmuir of 53 years and her daughter, Cynthia LaGrace and her husband John.

Mary lived with her family in Kearny most of her life before moving to Harrison in 1993 with her beloved husband. She was an amazing, fun-loving, charitable person who embraced her Irish heritage and took great pride in being an American.

Mary volunteered at Roosevelt School as the “lunch lady” in the 1970’s, photographed countless Kearny and Harrison events, and worked for Kearny’s Health Department, Dial-A-Ride program. She was a long-time active member of the VFW 1302 Ladies Auxiliary, Harrison’s Cancer League and a proud member of the Henrietta Benstead Senior Center in Kearny.

           Mary is survived by her two loving children and their spouses, Wendy Domac-Ramirez and son-in law David, Douglas Dunsmuir and daughter in law Lillian, and her seven Grandchildren, Kelly Rodriguez, Danielle Morrison-Skow, Kimberly Balk-Pucci, Jason Dunsmuir, John La Grace II, Brittany Dunsmuir and Alexander Domac, and her three great grandchildren Farrah, Riley and Daphne.

 She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews & friends.
