Florence M. Kennedy, 84 of Lyndhurst passed away on March 28, 2020.
Private arrangements are entrusted to the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. A memorial gathering will be celebrated at a later date.
Born in Jersey City, Florence lived in Lyndhurst for over 30 years. Deeply devoted to her family, Florence was also a longtime caregiver, and held each child she babysat near to her heart. She was an avid bowler, and a member of the Holy Rosary Society at St. Paul's Church in Jersey City.
Florence was the beloved wife of the late Joseph P. Kennedy; loving mother of Elizabeth Ronan and her husband Louis, Carol Kennedy, Barbara McAuley and her companion Chris Henry, Kevin Kennedy and his wife Allyson and Sean Kennedy and his wife Lori. She was the cherished grandmother of Rick and Allison Ronan, Amanda Sinatra, Megan, Shannon, Kirsten, Kathryn and Bobby Kennedy; dear great-grandmother of Patrick Sinatra, and sister of Agnes Mitchell and Anne Smith. She is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
