Teresa Irizarry, 51 of Belleville passed away on March 28, 2020.
Private arrangements are entrusted to the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny. A memorial gathering will be celebrated at a later date.
Born in Chicago, Ill, Teresa was a longtime resident of Newark and Harrison before moving to Belleville three years ago. She worked for Solid State in Newark, and later for Shop-Rite in Belleville in their customer service departments for many years. Teresa loved to play bingo and always enjoyed a day spent shopping or at the beach. She kept in shape by exercising regularly, and appreciated a relaxing night watching a Lifetime movie on TV. Above all else, Teresa was deeply devoted to her family, and treasured family gatherings and barbecues, but especially loved being with her grandchildren.
Teresa is survived by her longtime partner Rickie Gonzalez; loving children Ricky Irizarry, Horatio Irizarry, Christina Irizarry, Emma Irizarry and Jazlyn Irizarry and her fiance Daniel; siblings Juan Irizarry and his wife Lisa and Lois Ortiz; and by her dear grandchildren Janielle and Dalyn Figuroa.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.
