William Connolly passed away on August 5, 2020. He was 83 years old. Private family arrangements are by The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny.
William is survived by his beloved wife Elizabeth (nee Battaglino), son William J. Connolly and the late James Connolly. He was the cherished grandfather to Angela, Teresa, William, Vanessa and Jamie, and his great granddaughter Audrey.
William retired from the Department of Sanitation in New York City where he worked for many years. He was a Sargent First Class in the Army Reserve for 25 years. He was also a past president of the NYC Department of Sanitation Retiree Association.
