Juana R. Dominguez (nee Prados), 85 of Kearny passed away on October 11, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Juana at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Saturday October 16 from 2-6 PM. A Funeral service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 3:00 p.m. and cremation will be held privately. Juana and her husband Cecilio will be laid to rest at Glendale Cemetery in Bloomfield together at a later date.
Born in Havana, Cuba, Juana moved to Newark in 1965 and finally settled in Kearny in 1971. She was a longtime seamstress, and worked for Maggie Bridal in Kearny making wedding gowns. An avid bingo player, Juana most enjoyed preparing delicious Cuban meals for her loving family.
Juana was the beloved wife of the late Cecilio Oscar Dominguez; loving mother of Luis Dominguez and his wife Sharon, Juan Dominguez and his wife Denise, Miguel Dominguez and his wife Patty and the late Oscar Dominguez. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, by her brother Ignacio Prados, and by her daughter-in-law Ginny Dominguez. Juana was predeceased by her parents Juan and Nieves Prados, and by her sister-in-law Mandi Prados.
