Manuel Salwan, 91 of Kearny passed away on October 12, 2021.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Manuel at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Friday October 15 from 6 - 8 PM. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Cuba, Manuel lived in Kearny for the past 51 years. He worked as a wiring technician for Federal Pacific Electric, and for various other companies for many years until retiring 30 years ago. Manuel appreciated nature, and loved animals. He especially cherished time spent breeding his parakeets, and caring for his fish. Manuel loved the wintertime, and really looked forward to clearing snow. He was very organized and energetic. A talented painter, Manuel most treasured time spent with his loving family, especially during the Christmas season.
Manuel was the beloved husband of Maria (nee Oliva) Salwan; loving father of Manuel Salwan, Edward Salwan and his wife Tracy, Maritza Ablanedo and her husband Carlos and Yesenia Lamiano and her husband Rodney; adoring grandfather of Tiffany, Christopher, Carina, Nicholas, Mia, Justin, Jason and Ayana, and dear brother of Jose Salwan.
