Larry W. Fondi, 79 of North Arlington passed away on November 29, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Larry at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Friday December 3 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church on Saturday at 10 AM. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Irvington, Larry lived in Orange and Montclair before moving to North Arlington 50 years ago. He was a house painter, owning and operating Larry Fondi Painting for many years. Larry was a proud teacher of CCD for 6th grade students at Queen of Peace Church for 15 years, and was also a dedicated Eucharistic minister at Hackensack Hospital. Larry was outgoing and personable, making friends wherever he went. A good handyman, he enjoyed repairing things that needed attention, often fixing up old bicycles and cars. Always creative, Larry was sure to find a way to keep things around. He treasured days spent going out for a relaxing drive in his 1966 Impala. Above all, Larry was loved by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Larry was the beloved husband of Christine (nee Fliedner) Fondi; loving father of Tara Krug and the late Michael Jon Fondi; and dear brother of Joy Vanarelli (Chaz), Joan Baskwell (Pat), and the late Doreen Porzig. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law Lena Krug, and by his niece, nephews, and many cousins.
