John English passed away April 15, 2020. He was 80 Born in Kearny, he lived there many years before retiring to Lakeville, PA. Memorial visitation will be Sunday April 25, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at The Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home. Burial of his ashes will be on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. in Arlington Cemetery.
John was well known in Kearny. He owned Tony’s Deli for many years and was a member of The Optimist Club and The Elks as well as sponsoring many different sporting teams. He was also a member of The Board of Directors in his Lake community.
He was the husband of the late Dolores and father of Terry, John, Valerie and Stephen. Brother of William, Richard and Naomi, he is also survived by his grandchildren; Nicole, Dylan, Stephen, Matthew, Nikalena and Michael. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation to St. Jud Children’s Hospital.
