Evangelos Karadimos

Evangelos Karadimos, 92 of Rutherford, formerly of Kearny passed away on May 15, 2021.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Evangelos at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 818 Valley Road Clifton on Wednesday from 9 - 11 AM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 11 AM, and burial will follow at Crest Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements are entrusted to the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home in Kearny.

Born in Thebes, Greece, Evangelos proudly served in the Greek Military as the Queen’s Consort. In 1966, he moved to Kearny, residing there many years until moving to Rutherford seven years ago. Evangelos was the hard-working and dedicated owner of the Arlington Diner for 40 years until his retirement. An avid Yankee and Giant fan, Evangelos also enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden. He was a devout member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. Evangelos deeply cherished his family, especially his grandkids and his faithful dogs.

Evangelos was predeceased by his beloved wife Ekaterini. He was the loving father of James Karadimos and his spouse William, and Sam Karadimos and his spouse Maria; and treasured grandfather of Katerina and Evan.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
