Fidel Sergio Rojas, Sr., 59 of Kearny passed away on May 16, 2021.
Funeral is from the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Saturday May 22 at 8:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church at 9:30 AM. Cremation will be held privately. Visitation is on Friday May 21 from 5-9 PM at the funeral home.
Born in Lima, Peru, Fidel earned his Master’s Degree in Journalism there before moving to Kearny in 1993. He worked as a sales consultant at Sears for several years before working as a bi-lingual sales consultant for Verizon in Jersey City, Newark and later Livingston for many years.
A hard-working and dedicated family man, Fidel would do anything for them. Always quick with a joke, he loved to make people laugh. Fidel was also an amazing cook. Always dressed sharp and looking his best, Fidel had a heart of gold, and will be deeply missed.
Fidel was the beloved husband to Maria Julia Rojas; loving father of Sammy Sergio Rojas and Jorge Martin Rojas; and dear brother of Hilda and Berna Rojas, and the late Jorge and Rolando Rojas.
