Robert Basso, 76 of North Arlington passed away on July 26, 2021.
Funeral services are private, in the care of the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home.
Born in Jersey City, Robert was raised in Kearny before moving to North Arlington 52 years ago. He enjoyed his work as a truck driver for Basso Rubbish Removal, Co. Robert also enjoyed caring for his fish, and trips to Wildwood and the Jersey Shore.
Robert was the beloved husband to the late Beverly Basso; loving father of JoAnn Landaeta and her husband Anthony, Patricia Mobilio and her husband Patrick, Sandra McKenna and her husband Joseph, and the late Thomas Young. He was the dear grandfather of eight, and great-grandfather of seven. He was the cherished brother of Fred Basso and his wife Rebecca and the late Rosalie Nadrowski. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
