Richard F. Bubenas, 64 of Ocean Gate, formerly of Kearny passed away on August 1, 2021.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Richard at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny , visiting will be on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Kearny on Thursday at 11:00 am. Cremation will be held privately.
Born in Kearny, Richard was a lifelong resident until moving to Ocean Gate five years ago. He worked for the Town of Kearny in the Public Works Department for many years until his retirement in 2019. Richard loved his time spent boating. He was an avid fisherman and loved crabbing as well.
Son of the late John and Pauline (nee Benkes) Bubenas, Richard was the beloved husband of Ana (nee Pitta) Bubenas; loving father of Tara Bubenas, and dear brother of John P. Bubenas and his wife the late Joan L., Dorothy J. Graham and the late Robert T. Bubenas. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews and cousins.
