Peter F. Wnoroski

Peter F. Wnoroski, 86 of Kearny passed away on August 22, 2021.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Pete at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Tuesday August 24 from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny on Wednesday August 25 at 10 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Born in Newark, Pete has lived in Kearny for 48 years. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Pete worked for PSE&G, first as a meter reader, and retired as a customer service representative there 25 years ago. He then worked as a bus driver for special needs children at Cross Country Transportation for 20 years.

Pete enjoyed frequent trips to Atlantic City. He treasured the simple things in life, like a hot cup of coffee, or a cold Budweiser. Pete was fastidious in caring for his shoes, being sure to always keep them at a high polish. An avid gardener, he most of all treasured time spent with his loving family.

The son of the late Benjamin and Mary (nee Wujek) Wnoroski, Pete was the beloved husband to Dale (nee Walther) Wnoroski. He was the loving father of Dawn Wnoroski, Jennifer Rego and her husband Robert, Michael Wnoroski and the late Peter F. Wnoroski, Jr., and cherished grandfather of Emily, Nadia, David and Madison. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and was predeceased by his eleven brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the St. Stephen’s Heritage Fund, or to a charity of your choice.
