Rodrigo G. Nunez passed away on November 11, 2022. He was 56. Born in Valparaiso, Chile, the family moved to The United States and settled in Kearny in 1977.
Beloved son of Alicia Magaly Nunez and Luis Mario Nunez, brother to Alex Nunez and Jennie Cosman, brother-in-law to Derrick Cosman and loving uncle to Andrew and Bryan. Loving cousin to Jaime, Dana, Renee, Rorro, Pamela and their families, along with surviving aunts , uncles and cousins in Chile. Adoring friend to many.
Rodrigo loved music, as a drummer it was a life-long passion that allowed him to play with friends and fellow musicians forming a few bands along the way. Once he and his bandmates played locally in Kearny along with fellow drummer from the band Bad Company. He and his bandmates later that year then opened a tour date for Bad Company. He was a passionate sports fan and enjoyed watching soccer. He played for Kearny High School as a goalie.
Visiting will be on Thursday at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive in Kearny from 5 until 8 p.m. The funeral home will open again on Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. and the service will begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery in Kearny.
