Marie L. Steffens, 87, of Kearny passed away peacefully on April 18, 2022. Born in Hoboken, Marie was a lifelong Kearny resident. Marie is predeceased by her husband, Robert Steffens and daughter MaryAnn Galway. Beloved mother of Robert M. Steffens and his wife Michelle, Leslie A. Florio and her husband Christopher and Paul J. Steffens. Loving grandmother of Laura Norrell and her husband Johannes “Hans”, Kristen Galway, Robert Steffens, Jr., Noelle Florio and Christian Florio. Devoted great grandmother of Alex and Emma Norrell. Dear sister of Janet Jamison and her husband Bob. Marie is also survived by her son-in-law, Ed Galway.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Monday from 9-11am at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny, NJ.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am in St. Stephen’s RCC, Kearny.
Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, North Arlington
