Jorge S. Vasco, 63 of Kearny passed away on July 7, 2022.
Visiting will be on Wednesday July 13 from 5 until 8 :00 pm at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny. Funeral; Mass will be on Thursday at 10:00 am in st. Stephens Church. Cremation will follow.
Born in Nazare, Portugal, Jorge lived in Kearny for the past 35 years. He proudly worked as a longshoreman for ILA Local #1235 at Port Newark for 22 years. Jorge had a passion for the sea, and was a hardworking man. He enjoyed fishing, and cruises with his loving wife. Jorge liked people, always entertaining, and making them smile. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren, and could fix just about anything.
Jorge was the beloved husband of Maria Vasco; loving father of Tania Toth and her husband Phillip and Jorge F. Vasco and his wife Vanessa; proud grandfather of Andrew Toth, Caroline Toth and Tiago Vasco, and dear brother of Jose Antonio Vasco, Isabel Vasco and Marialva Vasco.
