Inocencio was born on July 5, 1928, in Piletas Arce, Lares, Puerto Rico to Hermenegilda Perez Lucena and Felipe Perez Perez. He had 13 siblings all of whom preceded his death. In 1959, Inocencio traveled to Newark, NJ with his life-long love, Carmela Perez; who preceded his death in 2020 after nearly 70 years of a loving union.
He was committed to his love until his last breath. Inocencio was a loving husband and devoted father. He was blessed with six daughters; Carmen Perez, Lydia Perez, Theresa Lopez (Perez), Maria Lopez (Perez), Evelyn Lopez (Perez), Milta Ramos (Perez), and one son; James Perez. He is survived by 6 of his children, 6 sons-in-law, 1 daughter-in-law, 13 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great- grandchildren. Inocencio will always be remembered by his family with a smile on his face. He enjoyed being surrounded by family and sharing a good laugh. He was a fan of comedy; especially the classics. Everyone will remember Inocencio’s love for carpentry and building things. Once he wasn’t able to build anything with his own hands, he enjoyed episodes of “This Old House” and the Discovery Channel. Inocencio was the Patriarch of a large, warm and loving family who will feel the void of his presence. May he rest in eternal peace and God’s glory.
