Michael J. Warren, 56 rejoined his mother and father in Heaven on August 25, 2022.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Mike at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Tuesday August 30 from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny on Wednesday at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born on February 3, 1966, Mike resided in Kearny where he lived most of his life until recently moving to Manahawkin. Throughout it all, he enjoyed spending time with friends at Lake Wallkill in Sussex County.
He graduated Queen of Peace and St. Peter’s University, and shortly thereafter joined the Kearny Police Force, on which he served for 27 years until retiring.
Mike was an avid concertgoer and had the t-shirt collection to prove it. He was the go-to guy for a restaurant recommendation and loved going off-roading in his Jeep any chance he could.
Mike is survived by his sister Peggy Locasto and her husband Donald, his brother Matthew Warren and his wife Donna; and by his five nieces Jennifer, Stephanie, Christina, Katie and Tess.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to the Claddagh Fund, the charitable foundation of one of Michael’s favorite bands, the Dropkick Murphys.
