Dolores Walingavich (nee Pacenka), 88 of Kearny passed away on January 21, 2023.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Dolores at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Tuesday January 24 from 3-7 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in Kearny on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Wyoming, PA, Dolores was a lifelong Kearny resident. She was a secretary for Washington School in Kearny for many years prior to her retirement. A dedicated member of Our Lady of Sorrows Church, she was active in the Rosary Society. An avid bowler in her younger years, Dolores loved to travel, especially trips to the casino. She most treasured time spent with her grandchildren.
Dolores was the beloved wife of the late Richard Walingavich; loving mother of Lynn Curtiss and her husband Allen and Susan Cotton-Bernstein and her husband Paul; and dear grandmother of Rachel, AJ, Briana and Owen. She was also the cherished sister of Loretta Wolenski and her husband, the late Robert and Paulette Munley and her husband James. Dolores is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Lustgarten Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Research.
