Linda A. Mackalonis (nee Bayard) passed away on November 26, 2025. She was 83. Born in Montclair, she lived in Orange before moving to Kearny 61 years ago. Visiting will be on Tuesday December 2, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home. Mass will be on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church and entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
Linda was a very faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Sorrows Church and very happy that the Parish is currently being lead by Fr. Cesar. Linda was a Eucharist Minister and Lector. She was also a member of the Choir, Rosary Society and Solidarity.
Beloved wife of Raymond J. Mackalonis and loving mother of Michele Tilley, her son in law John and Raymond M. Mackalonis. She was the sister of the late Walter “Butch” Bayard and Harry “Randy” Bayard. Linda also was the cherished grandmother of Michael, Allison, Jessica and her husband Cristian Aguirre.
