Maria Pego 92 years of age of Kearny, NJ passed away peacefully at Clara Maass Medical Center on August 17,2025. Born in Artes LaCoruna ,Spain she resided in Newark before settling in Kearny in 1989. She was an assembler with General Motors Corporation for several years. In her leisure she enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her children, grand children, and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband Maximino Pego. Survived by her children Manuel Pego/Terry, Jose Pego/Carmen and Maximino Pego/Andrea. Grandmother of Carmen P, Manny, Daniel, Nicholas, Stephanie, Adrian, Michael, and Adam Pego. Great grandmother of Sebastian, Autumn, Daniel, Damian and Ariella . Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral on Wednesday 8/27/25 at St.Stephens Church Kearny where an 11:00/am funeral mass will be celebrated. Visitation will be held privately.
