Ruben Bernal passed away on August 26, 2025. Survived by his devoted wife, Mariana Jumbo, his beloved sons, Santos, Jose, Vicente, Lester, and Patricio Bernal, and his cherished daughters, Marcia, Diana, Nelly, and Mercy Bernal. He was also a proud grandfather and great-grandfather, leaving behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy.
Born in Ecuador, Ruben built a beautiful life centered around love, faith, and family. Ruben lived a life marked by hard work, resilience, and unconditional love for those around him. He was a man of full strength, who always put his family first. Whether through his words of wisdom, his gentle humor, or the example he set through his dedication, he left an unforgettable impression on everyone he met.
Above all, Ruben loved his family deeply. His strength, kindness, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace with Our Heavenly Father.
Visiting will be on Friday from 5:00 to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, 10:00 am in St. Michael’s Church, Newark. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
