Denise Vanderbeck: It is with great love and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Denise Vanderbeck on October 30, 2026. Denise departed this life peacefully in her home in Kearny, New Jersey, at the age of 71.
Born in Jersey City in 1955, Denise grew up in both Hillside and Garwood, New Jersey, and was a graduate of David Brearley High School in Kenilworth. Hardworking and sharp, she was a dedicated employee who worked for a number of trucking companies during her career, including Rist Transport in Carlstadt, N.J., from where she retired in 2020.
Before all else, Denise was a deeply devoted and loving mother to her beautiful daughter, Danielle, who was the center of her world. The two were very close and shared many of the same interests, which made for a rich and fulfilling relationship.
Denise was an animal lover who was greatly committed to the care and well-being of her dear pups. She found much joy in having them take part in a variety of events and contests and shared this love with Danielle. Oftentimes, these events would take them to different New Jersey Shore locations which delighted Denise whose deep fondness for the beach and the ocean was lifelong.
Denise is survived by her cherished daughter, Danielle, and her boyfriend, Brian; her loving brother, Mark, and his wife, Cornelia; her nieces, Lissa and Brittany, Brittany’s husband, Flynn, their son, Fletcher, and many precious family members. Denise was preceded in death by her truly wonderful parents, Dorothy (née Black) and Henry Vanderbeck. Also preceded in death are her beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins, and “Mama Louise”.
Denise’s family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date. Prayers are appreciated at this time.
Dear Denise will be forever loved and always missed. We are grateful to God for her in our lives.
