Giuseppina Mattia (nee Di Popolo) was born in Calabritto, Italy and lived many years in Kearny. She passed away on August 28, 2026. She was 93. Visiting will be on Friday September 4th beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny and her service will be at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum.
Giuseppina was the wife of the late Francesco and mother of Carmela Di Trolio, Silvestro Mattia and the late Pasqule Mattia. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Stephanie, Rosa, Frank and (late grandson Joey), Francesco, Bianca, Victoria, Brittany along with seven great grandchildren. She was the sister of Aldo DiPopolo, Igino DiPopolo, Romolo DiPopolo, Remo DiPopolo, the late Sr. Aurelia DiPopolo, the late Adolfo DiPopolo and the late Renato DiPopolo.
