Lisa Marie Lyons-Pita, born on January 12th, 1968, in Belleville, NJ, passed away surrounded by the love of family on September 17th, 2026. Raised in Kearny, New Jersey, Lisa grew up with her parents, Bob and Rose Lyons, and her younger brother, Robert Lyons, in the community she called home for nearly 60 years. Lisa also enjoyed strong ties to her mother’s birthplace, Newfoundland, Canada, where several members of her family still reside. Many of her fondest memories are remembered from her summers as a “Newfie.”
Lisa was a dedicated mom and took great pride in the care of any children that surrounded her. Lisa found immense joy in being surrounded by family and enjoying meals together. Lisa is survived by her son, Brian. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Celebration of life services will be held at Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, New Jersey 07032, on Tuesday, September 22nd, from 4pm to 7pm. There will not be a funeral service. Repast to follow at Michael’s Riverside, 528 Riverside Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ. 07071.
