Walter Domingo, born on May 29, 1964, in Queens, New York, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends whose lives he touched so deeply. Raised in Harrison, New Jersey, Walter grew up with his parents, Blanca and Jose, and his younger sister, Miriam, in the community he would proudly call home throughout his life.
Walter dedicated more than 25 years of service as the Town of Harrison’s electrician. He took great pride in his work and especially cherished the friendships he built alongside his coworkers over the years. Known for his kindness and dependable nature, Walter was always willing to lend a helping hand. Whether it was a neighbor in need or a friend facing a challenge, he never hesitated to put others before himself.
Outside of work, Walter found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved fishing, tending to his garden, cooking meals, like empanadas, for those he cared about, and collecting treasures that brought him happiness. He also enjoyed traveling to Argentina and Texas, where he spent cherished time with relatives, connecting over the hobbies and interests they loved together. His warm spirit, generous heart, and quiet thoughtfulness will be remembered by all who knew him.
Walter is survived by his mother, Blanca; his sister, Miriam; and his beloved nieces, Gabriela and Alyssa, as well as aunts, uncles and many cousins here and in Argentina who will continue to carry his memory in their hearts.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Wake services will be held at Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, New Jersey 07032, on Saturday, September 19th, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will not be a funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation in loving memory of Walter.
