Irene Dorothy Conklin passed away suddenly on August 16, 2015 at Mountainside Hospital. She was only 61. This sad loss, however, does have special meaning in the fact that Irene donated organs to save the lives of others. Visiting is Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home 596 Belgrove Drive Kearny. Mass Wednesday 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Church and private cremation will follow.
Irene was the loving wife of William M. Conkilin, Sr. And is also survived by her cherished children Kevin James Young, Elaine A. Conklin, Margaret Santeramo, William M. Conklin, Jr. and Mary K. Conklin., She was the sister of Margaret Dombkowski and Robert, Thomas and Harold Young and the late Edward, John and James Young. Also surviving are her nine grandchildren; Vinny, Mark, Ariana, Malana, Skyler, Liam, Jay Jay, Kevin, Jr. and Robbie.
After her family Irene's next true love was Bingo.
