Manuel Martinez, 91 of Kearny passed away on October 23, 2020.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a visitation for Manuel at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Stephen’s Church in Kearny on Tuesday at 11 AM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Born in Spain, Manuel moved to Newark in 1968, and finally settled in Kearny in 1990. He worked as a mason for many years until retiring. Manuel was a hard-working man, and was deeply devoted to his family.
Manuel was the beloved husband of the late Nieves Martinez; loving father of Maria Caamano and her husband Manuel, Manuel Martinez and his wife Mercedes, Jose F. Martinez and his wife Ana and Josephine Fraga and her husband Manuel. He was the cherished grandfather of nine and great-grandfather of eight. Manuel was predeceased by his grandson Pablo, brothers Francisco, Jose and Luis, and sisters Gabina and Dolores.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
