Shawn Hart passed away on May 13, 2021. He was 52. Born in East Orange, he grew up in Harrison and settled in Rutherford with his family. Arrangements are by the Armitage Wiggins Funeral Home. There will be visiting hours on Monday May 24, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. There will be funeral prayers held at 4:30 p.m. that same day and private cremation will follow.
Son of the late Joseph and Barbara (McNally) Hart, he was the husband of Kathleen Meehan-Hart and dear father to Bridget Hart. Brother of Robert, Darin, and the late Joseph Hart. Brother-in-law to Mary & Stephen Cairns, Harold & Cheryl Meehan, and the late Grace Meehan, Guido Salandra, Coleen Hart, and Catherine Hart and the late William Carter. Shawn was the beloved uncle to many close nieces and nephews; Joseph Hart, Marisa Hart, Samantha Hart, Darin Hart, Max Hart, Jack Cairns, Devin Grace Cairns, Caroline Meehan, Harry Carter, Ian Cairns, Olivia Cairns, Guido Salandra and the late William H. Carter.
Shawn was dear to his family and many many friends. He was “one of a kind”. He was an avid New York Yankee and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved music, movies and enjoyed time spent with his family and friends. His big smile, laugh and quick wit will be missed by all.
