Rose M. Galladay, 84 of Whiting, formerly of Kearny, passed away on August 19, 2022.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation for Rose at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Monday September 5 from 6-9 PM, and on Tuesday September 6 from 10 to 11:30 AM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the funeral home at 11:30 AM, and cremation will be held privately.
Born in Paisley, Scotland, Rose lived in England before moving to Kearny in 1948. She was a longtime resident until retiring to Whiting in August of 2006. Rose proudly worked as a full charge book keeper for Kane Carpeting in Kearny, and later for Temperature Measurement in North Arlington until her retirement in 2011. She loved to knit and crochet, and was an avid bowler in her younger years. Rose was fiercely proud of her Scottish heritage.
The wife of the late Peter G. Galladay, Sr., Rose was the loving mother of Peter G. Galladay, Jr. (Tereza), Heather G. Dean (Jeff), Kevin M. Galladay, Sr., and the late Debra-Ann G. Rose. She was the cherished grandmother of Anthony P. Galladay, Christopher, Nicole, Cullen, Kevin, Jasmine, Maggie, Elizabeth, Peter and Liam, and great-grandmother of six.
