Joseph Jordan Sr., 91 of North Arlington passed away on January 22, 2024.
Born in Newark, Joseph was a longtime resident of North Arlington. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, achieving the rank of Corporal, and was awarded a Purple Heart.
Joseph was the beloved husband of 65 years to Jennie (nee Macaluso) and loving father of Jeanette, Lorraine, and Joseph Jr. He was the proud grandfather of John and his wife Allison, Joseph, Jordan, and Christopher, adoring great-grandfather of Anna and Emma, and the brother of Rose Ann and her husband Phil.
Joseph worked as a Cost Estimator at Research-Cottrell in Somerville for 15 years and prior to that as a Machine Designer for Metalwash Machinery Company before retiring.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation and funeral service for Joseph at the Armitage & Wiggins Funeral Home, 596 Belgrove Dr. Kearny on Saturday January 27 from 9 AM -12 PM. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
